This webinar aims to highlight the essential role of business operators to ensure that food is safe for human consumption.

SAAFoST and Anelich Consulting, collaborating with South African Competent Authorities responsible for Food Safety and Control, namely The Departments of Health, Agriculture Land Reform and Rural Development and the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications, as well as other stakeholders in the food industry and industry organisations to celebrate World Food Safety Day on 07 June, 2020. A series of events and activities through online and virtual platforms, including social media, will be held from 01 - 05 June 2020 to inspire action to help prevent, detect and manage foodborne health risks. A detailed programme will be made available on the websites of the mentioned departments and other organisations in due course. We will communicate that information when we receive it.

The theme for World Food Safety Day 2020 is "Food safety everyone's business" and it is a shared responsibility.
