Presenter: Janusz F. Luterek, Pr. Eng (Hahn & Hahn Attorneys) and 2019 SAAFoST President's Award winner

Janusz holds degrees in both Chemical Engineering from the University of Pretoria and Law from UNISA and is a registered Attorney, Patent Attorney, and a Professional Engineer and is a partner of Hahn & Hahn. Janusz is a Custodian Member of the South African Association for Food Science and Technology (SAAFoST) and recipient of the 2019 SAAFoST President's Award.

Janusz has assisted many leading listed companies as well as the CGCSA and SAAFoST with their various Foodstuffs, Cosmetics, and Disinfectants Act and Regulations, Medicines and Related Substances Act and Regulations, and Consumer Protection Act submissions to various Government departments and Parliament as well as implementation in their businesses.

In May 2019 the Department of Health announced that Cannabidiol (CBD), found in dagga, has been removed from South Africa's list of highly-controlled drugs and can be sold legally.

Following the announcement, South African entrepreneurs jumped on the bandwagon as legal cannabis products gain traction. The presentation will cover Cannabidiol (CBD) and the law around it. The webinar will be a 30-minute presentation followed by a 15-minute question and answer session.
