Presenter: Stanley Cauvain, Director BakeTran (Chorleywood Research) - Knowledge & Solutions for the Baking Industry

Dear Northern Branch members

Mr Stanley Cauvain, co-founder of BakeTran, author and co-editor of 16 books on baking and milling and regular invited speaker at scientific and technical conferences, has agreed to give us a presentation on the above topic during his short visit to SA from the UK. This will include potential opportunities for improving process efficiencies in bread baking and developing healthier bakery products. The roles of salt, sugar, fat and fibre against the background of the global obesity crisis will be considered, as well as product development with positive contribution to consumer wellbeing, new and existing possibilities of process optimisation.

This is an opportunity not to be missed!
